I would say that its cheasper and more efficent to boil the right amount from the kettle. Boiling x amount of water just for one or two cups is mop efficent in starting up your boile. Waiting for it to go hot then boiling that water again.
Due the small amount of water in the kettle it doesnt take aslong to boil.
